Digital Antibiotic Zone Reader (TSI-AZR 02) :
The Digital Antibiotic Zone Reader determines the strength and effectiveness of antibiotics by measuring inhibition zones in Petri dishes with a range of 0–75 mm. This advanced system eliminates manual errors with a digital display, electronic zero adjustment, and high-resolution measurement. Models available with 0.1 mm and 0.01 mm resolution for different requirements.
How It Works :
1. Agar in a Petri dish is inoculated with bacteria.
2. Antibiotic sensitivity discs are placed on the agar surface.
3. After incubation, bacterial growth covers the dish except for clear zones of inhibition.
4. The zone diameter, which indicates antibiotic strength, is measured digitally.
5. Light from the base passes through the agar, reflected by a mirror, and projected onto a viewing glass with a reference line.
6. Using the slider knob and digital display, accurate measurements of inhibition zones can be obtained without parallax errors.
